This is stylized work of a male chital (spotted)deer that is sniffing the air for information about the weather. The monsoon is expected the heavy clouds have gathered overhead. The deer stands motionless, feeling the wind and trying to gauge the upcoming weather. Monsoon is a welcome relief from the sweltering heat and the herds can move and graze differently than in summer. Chital herds are loose and disband frequently, except for the mother-child pair. I have tried to capture the colors of the evening sky as the sun sets and dark clouds start moving in.
