This stylized contemporary painting of a male sambar deer reminds me of deer sleeping in our lawn for the night and waking up to disperse into the forest during the day near Mudumalai Sanctuary. It’s a little whimsical and in a different style than my usual realistic one. The colors, the shape of the horns, the size of the eyes are a bit contemporary and painted in a romanticized way for a different feel.
